Learn about the history and basics of VR, and take the first step on your journey to becoming a VR developer! This course is designed for students who are new to virtual reality and want to learn about the principles of VR technology. You don’t need any programming experience to take this course. By the end of this course, you will understand the physical principles of VR, platforms on which VR technology is currently being built, and the first steps to creating your own app on the Unity platform.

Prerequisites and Requirements

If you are new to virtual reality and don’t know where to start, then this is the course for you! We will teach and use the Unity platform to edit a VR app, so you should have access to a computer running Mac OS X (10.8+) or Windows (7, 8, or 10). No programming experience is required. If you have experience using the Unity platform, parts of this course may be too slow for you - you should feel free to skip those sections. Finally, the **most important prerequisite** is a willingness to learn new things, and belief that you can do this!
